I cut mine off recently after yanking my head pretty good when my ponytail got caught around the squat bar. Looks badass? I don't know. It seems ubiquitous though.

I shave my head(I leave a schmidge of hair, not completely bald) because I'm going bald anyway. I noticed that too with the baldness and strongman.

I cut mine with a clipper without any attachment, so it's really short. It gets in the way...and I just didn't like it..

I bic mine because of military standard, its cheaper to do that than it is to pay someone to give me a bad haircut all the time, after I get out next year you may see me grow a pony tail..............or a neon green mullet!

I cut mine short because I'm frugal (my wife says I'm just cheap). I have spent a total of about $50 on haircuts for the last 11 or 12 years. (Two set of clippers and one set of replacements blades.) When I was a teenager I actually had long hair - I could reach around and grab the end of it behind my back. Of course, my shoulders were a bit more flexible back then. For me to grab it now it'd have to be almost to my rump (Beat you to it Paul)

BTW - looking at the original picture, I thought Dan was saying Clay and DW were twins. Aside from the fact that Clay looks like he'd eat Max if he got hungry, I can see it.

Started shaving to 1/8 of an inch as soon as I enlisted 12 years ago. anything longer that 3/4 inch is still iritating! LOL
On the plus side it does hide my shockingly fast appearing gray hair!

Ive shaved my head for the last 15 years usually with a 1 guard, Lately when it starts to grow out Ive noticed its a little sparse. I guess there goes my chance if I wanted to have some kind of hairstyle, though I might be able to pull off a skullet.

DHT causes hair loss. Higher amounts of testosterone can be associated with strength sports and DHT is one of the things testosterone can convert into.

And it is much cooler to have a shaved head.

I was thinking about the DHT factor....you figure heavy lifting causes higher levels of CK levels, and increases in free and total testosterone and are associated with higher DHT levels. Also many OTC and Illegal Performance Enhancing "supplements" are associated with high DHT levels.
