Some of you guys who post videos with video/sound editting in them, what programs do you use? And can I find them on download.com or are they store bought?
Thanks.

There is-
Windows Movie Maker
iMovie
(These come with Windows, or Apple, depending on what you have)
There are also these, but can run over $100-
Sony Vegas
Pinnacle
Final Cut
Adobe Premiere

I use a mac and like imovie. Final cut is also a nice program. On windows I've used Adobe premier and thought it was pretty good too.

I have found windows movie maker is the most user friendly and works well, plus it should already be on your computer if you are Windows based.
Also have Pinnacle Studio Plus on my computer which is an expensive program with some really cool features but a little more involved - would maybe use that if I was making a full length DVD or something professional.

For file conversion I use a free program called SUPER - their webpage is annoying, but the program can convert just about any video format out there

Looking for any video editing tool that you won't have to pay for I find a lot of freeware at www.videohelp.com and use their tool search to find what your looking for. If you like to buy a good one though I really like Sony Vegas.
