I was critical of MustSeeStrongman.com in the past, but today they cut their prices, and even refunded the difference to existing paid members. I thought that was very classy.
The nationals video are low quality (which is what I was most critical of), but if the pro contests they cover are higher quality (and say who's competing, what they got, current places after each event, etc) it'll be worth it. Professional strongman videos have a pretty small market, so you have to expect a cost to it.
Hopefully they clarify the rules about taping so people can put their crews' contest performance on YouTube. I really think that sort of thing helps the sport, and I don't think that it would hurt MustSeeStrongman.

I am pretty sure Dione said anyone can tape themselves or their crews and post them. They are just trying to get away from people taping the whole contest and then posting them or selling them.

Hey, they let me in grad school too. It's amazing who gets in when there are no standards.

I seem to remember them saying not to tape your buddies. And that they didn't want to see it on youtube. But I'm also an idiot for the most part.
I didn't upload my video out of respect for this request but if I misinterpretted the meaning then maybe I will.

So the people who make up NAS (us), can't tape ourselves and put it on youtube? I don't understand.

Matt,
Here is what Dione had posted on the Anvil, hope it helps.
"to answer the flood of e-mails and phone calls, this does not mean your loved one cannot video tape you. It means that you cannot set up a video camera to tape the entire event."
"you can tape your self and youtube it or tape your crew during training and you-tube it."

DJ, thank you.
Billy, I never said I didn't disagree with it, but was respecting the request. I'm with you, though, it's my intellectual property or whatever...
