I have found that i mess up my diet because I dont have meals planned out ahead and cooked and wind up eating what is easy. What would be a good list to shop from and maybe make on Sunday that I could stick in the fridge and make meals out of for a few days. I am trying to lose a lot of weight.

hm i would go for alot of things that will make good sandwhiches for leftovers. Like chicken, fish, stuff like that. Seems easiest to me. That way you can cook one or two nights and eat the leftovers in various ways. Thats usually what i do. A steak can go a long ways, Steak sandwhich, stirfry it, BBQ beef sandwhichs. haha use your imagintaion.

Make a huge stir fry.
Grilled chicken breasts.

My mother in law made pasta with italian sausage last night
That means italian sausage omlettes for breakfast!
Sliced meats make a good quick snack. I am partial to rolling up a slice of turkey around an apple slice and gouda cheese.
Skirt steaks (may be hard to find if you don't have a large local mexican population) give alot of flavor for a little cash - and they are usually close to a pound in weight. I cooked 1.5 pounds of skirt steak, flavored like a fajita, and ate it with rice tonight.
Yogurt is also a big favorite - the enzymes in yogurt help you digest protein more effeciently too.
Other than that, the flash-frozen chicken breasts rock. I can thaw one chicken breast in the microwave in about 2 minutes, cut it into bits, throw it into a pot with some onions, spices, 1/2 cup of rice, and 1 cup of water - and 20 minutes later I have a massive carb+protein, lowfat meal (my preference for pwo meal, fatty foods make me yarf prior to 2-3 hours of lifting).
I also buy a ton of fruit. I eat a banana in the morning, and usually eat 2 more pieces of fruit throughout the day. I never see adults eating enough fruits or veggies - and I noticed that my health is exponentially better when I eat 2-3 pieces per day. Bananas, pears, peaches, and apples are all very portable and clean as well.

Like the above posters said....plan a day to cook alll your foods for the week. If you get in a bind have some mrp's and bars on hand.

Go to a store like Costco and buy 24 tins of tuna for 0.99. Well, I don't know how much, but it's cheap. Take two or three to work every day and scarf them down with hot sauce and pickles.

today i am cooking up all my meals for the week and hopefully it will keep me on track :)
I'm too lazy to spend a couple hours in the kitchen, but I sure get good use out of my foreman grill though. ;)

I eat the same thing but substitute venison burger for the ground beef. It is one of my favorites for sure! Hopefully I will be able to stock up on the venison here shortly!
