I try to substitute olive oil for butter or margarine when cooking. I like it a lot more, and when I was eating pasta, I used to put olive oil on it not only for taste, but to keep the noodles from sticking together over time.

yeah, olive oil is good for ya. I sometimes take a swig or 2 right out of the bottle, but that may be a bit extreme. But it is benificial to health

My wife's grandmother has an olive orchard (a lot of people here do) and they all go into the mountains several times a year and pick olives and make olive oil. Nothing beats fresh olives or olive oil (doesn't compare to anything I've ever had in the US).
