I posted this already in my log, but I'm pretty pumped about it so I'm putting it here too. If you don't like it, sue me. (Hint: I'll win ;) )

I finally flipped the ginormous clown tire this afternoon. It took me 4 attempts to get it, but by golly it went over. This is the only tire I've ever seen that requires actual force to push over from an upright position. It buckles from its own weight when we roll it. It is nasty, brutish, and HUGE. Unfortunately, everyone else in the crew had gone on to set up for other events so there's no pics or vids.

Any idea how much it weighs?

Goodyear said that tire hasn't been manufactured since 1968, and their best guess was 980. One of our other tires is 900 and this one is a LOT heavier, so I am not convinced that is accurate. We just say it's 1000 since it's a round number.

We have two of those tires at our warehouse. One of them is about 430 and the other is around 475. They're hard to grip sometimes, but good tires to work with generally.

The grip on this tire is awesome. One of the best I've ever used. It's just heavy.

Apparently I was gripping one of the red knobs, because afterward I had red on my hand. I like to think of it as the blood of a vanquished foe.
