I'm sure everyone is well aware by now of the passing of Heath Ledger last tuesday. It's always a shame to see someone so talented at such a young age be taken. I personally enjoyed all of his performances I saw him in, and I like how he hated and avoided being "typecast" in prettyboy roles and wanted to be a serious character actor. He was very focused and put 100% in his roles.

I am a longtime fan of Batman, but not such a big fan of the films, with the exception of this new franchise that was launched in 2005. Ledger's Joker is down right creepy and intense in the preview. His Joker laugh is incredible. The guy was a great actor. I can't wait to see the movie.

I like him in A Knight's Tale and The Patriot. I can't wait to see him in The Dark Knight. Is that really him doing that laugh because that is perfect for the joker.

he was a great actor, and probably would have been one of the best ever.

wow he almost has a laugh as good as jacks voice in the first batman. In fact he sounds a bit like jacks joker. I dunno if his joker will be as good as nicholsons though.

He was one of my favorite actors since "Knight's Tale." I thought he was a tremendous actor and a wonderful, gracious, intelligent person. I feel like I've aged five years since he died.
I never knew him, but I loved his films, and felt he was a beautiful, rare human being.
My last reps this week have been for Heath. As his older sister Kate said in the paper,
"Our hearts are broken." He will be missed and grieved for by so many people, on so many levels.
