Geoff,

Whats up man, I read where you mentioned you weighed in at 340 recently. How is training going lately? you must be one STRONG mofo these days. just curious what your training is like.

What's up Dana? Training is good, lifting lots of weight followed by gasping for lots of air ;) Still trying to get used to the new BW. I'm hoping that my conditioning will come up to meet my weight, but if not my weight will have to go down to meet my conditioning :o
How are you and Ed training? Heard anything about Westerns?

Good to hear training is going well! you must be freakin Huge at 340! Training is going well, We have just started training events again. A little to wet over the monthes of Dec and Jan but its all good now. Gym training went well over the winter, I really brought my overhead pressing up. Im outside runninig now twice a week as well to get my fitness up. Also making sure I end every event day off with a pretty good Medley to get my cardio up. Ed is looking very strong and big these days, I think hes at like 325. I have heard that nobody has stepped up to put the westerns on and they may be in jepordy. But who knows, I hope they are on because im looking forward to meeting you.

Hey Gents.. i wouldn't mind if you keep me in the loop about the westerns as well, especially if they have a 105 KG class. I am suprised at how difficult it is to get information about shows etc.. i am trying to get some sanctioning for a show of some kind here for victoria and the politics is a bit much..it seems if it doesn't involve pros or the core from Ont/Que. no one cares..

dana - i am pouring my stones next saturday.. so i will invite you over a weekend after that..

Geoff - any "off the record" advice about CFSA politics and how I can get sanctioned for a show

Ya basically what we were thinking of was a one day 6 event comp. We would like to have an Arm over Arm truck pull, a Log for max single, Stones Atlas and Field stones in the same event, a medley Carry, Drag and flip (1000lb tire 1 flip at the end). We are also going to have some kind of forward hold as well as a car deadlift hold for time. This is what we are thinking.

Talk to the MASA boys for sanctioning in the west. Quebec pretty much looks after their own but have allowed Manitoba to sort of over-see things in the west. Hugo is really busy all the time too - even more so now with the baby on the way. A pre-existing show is probably gonna be renamed "the westerns" at the last minute and there will probably be a bunch of guys that will not be able to make it - like me! WHich will be incredibley gay :confused:

I bet they turn that June 4th Red's show for the western Cup into the Westerns. I think that would be a little messed up to have the westerns in a nightclub lol, but if nobody else will step up I guess it has to be done. Who knows though. That's just my 2 cents and im usually always WRONG! lol
