I can't even begin to describe how happy I am right now. The after-glow is unbelievable... What's even better is that I was at a friend of a friends place in greenwich, they had two TVs set up in the living room, patriots fans on one side, giants fans on the other. What an intense atmosphere. I was jumping up and down, high-fiving perfect strangers. DEFINITELY not a lot of noise coming from the patriot's side at the end of the night!!!

I just have such an intense hatred for the patriots, for so many reasons, not the least of which is that I firmly believe that Bill Belichick may in fact be the antichrist. Seeing him give that interview ... hahahahaha PRICELESS.

If the Patriots said at the beginning of the season "Our goal is to win every single game EXCEPT the Super Bowl" ... THEY SUCCEEDED!!!!!! :mag:

Hats off to the Giants. Eli has been my fantasy QB for the past 2 seasons and has been a big dissapointment, but something good happened to him when Shockey went down and during the 16th game of the season. He was making 3rd and 7s look easy last night, and the Giants D was unstoppable.

Still in shock that the Pats lost. I got to go to the Bowl vs Carolina and I had the same feeling of total confidence in the final 90 seconds last night as I had 4 years ago. Pats were supposed to hold off the final drive, and win by 4. After 57 minutes, they were finally pressuring Eli and it seemed an interception or at least a recovery on downs was coming. But man, what an amazing scramble out of of 2 defenders hands and a huge throw off a helmet.

Great game for the non-Pats fan.

I cant believe they went for it on 4th and stupid 12 when they could have gotn the stupid field goal that would have made the stupid difference in the end of the stupid game. And I cant believe the stupid patriots could not hold the giants off after they scored their last stupid touchdown. Then i couldnt believe the stupid patriots kept throwing the stupid long ball with 35 seconds left on the clock instead of trying to get with in stupid field goal range.........

honestly its a funny thing......... I was talking to someone this afternoon about it. We have been very fortunate to have won 3 superbowls since 01 and it has got'n to the point where its not as fun or exciting anymore. I remember how exciting it was when the Patriots would barely get the wildcard spot in the playoffs, now im on suicide watch if they even lose a single game....


The first superbowl in 01 was the greatest memory i have being a sports fan and probaly will for the rest of my life. The other 2 were great but not as special. This season was great because they were actually doing something above and beyond, when you didnt think they could do any better.... But i think they lost their way. All season long they did a good job of playing one game at a time and keeping their goals as their focus. I think after the last game of the year against the Giants when they went 16-0 they lost something. All of a sudden you would hear more and more Patriot players talk about "history" etc..... And even before yesterdays, i was watching a interview with a few players and I thought " they are talking like they already won ". Dont get me wrong I still thought they were going to win but it was suprising to hear them talking like that.

All and all... they had one of the best seasons any team has ever had. They went undefeated in the regular season, got to the superbowl and the Giants made history.

I'm a huge Giants fan and I don't even hate the Pats but that game was as good as it gets. Even people who don't follow football were excited. I am now officially on the Eli bandwagon and the Giants have a bright future...hopefully with Strahan!!!

I was actually referring to them going for the win. It appears that Belicheck didn't have much confidence in his kicker for some reason. Anyway the Pats offense looked out of sync all game. Got to credit the Giants defense, especially the front line, who should have all been the MVP not Manning, but that is another discussion. Anyway the old saying "defense wins championships and offense sells tickets" held true in this game.
