Maybe im just in a complaining mood....

Just got home from work and turned on the tv for background noise while i study for a test and they have are showing a korean strongman event. It looked like an amatuer event but im not sure.

Anyways, the extremely funny (sarcasm*) commentator reffered to the athletes of this sport "dumber than cave man". Followed but other comments that i personally found rude... Also a reference to illegal drugs.

Basically made the athletes who compete in strongman sound like they are big, stupid, illegal drug taken itiots that have nothing better to do than stupid strongman events.

I was going to study but Im not sure if i can read

That show makes fun of everyone. Don't take it to heart, those announcers are the real idiots.

If it's the same goofball I recall him making sarcastic comments even though there was no errors by the athletes on the screen (that behaviour is usually reserved for blooper reels). I didn't like it then and I don't like it now.

yeah i just get upset about it. There were no bloopers or anything, just showed a contest and indulted everyone competing and the sport. I know im probaly taking it to personal but theres plenty of sports out there i dont care for but i still have the respect for the athletes who compete and realize the hard work put into it.

Oh well

People who say that strongmen are fat and slow should try walking as fast as they can for two minutes carrying their bodyweight by a handle in each hand.

I totally agree with that Alex. I do not even watch Whacked Out Sports. I have only see in once or twice and that's it.

I've never even heard of this show. My advise is, unless you know a strongman contest will be on, do not turn on the television. It's pretty much all crap.

Consider the source. No one gives a hoot in hell what the commentator on Whacked Out Sports thinks of anything.

That show is just one of many in a long line of shows that are there purely so fat people can sit on their sofas and feel better and doing nothing with their lives.

Don't let it get to you.

Or, as Matt said, turn off the idiot box.

Not ah. You have to go to the high channels and turn off the parental block. If your V-chip states "Seriously, it can't be healthy to watch this" click ignore and you will have great t.v.

I saw that crap on Spike. At the end they claim that this is the only sport where the equipment is smarter than the competitors. This was bad but not nearly as bad as Clint almost insulting certain competitors at the Arnold last year for not being able to speak English. It was cool to see Jesse cut Clint off and put him in check at that point.

Travis will MC the Arnold this year with that guy, so he might get checked again!

I watched strongman here at work one time with co-workers and the supervisor was making all sorts of comments like those mentioned. he'd say stuff like "oh let me pick up these rocks and walk around in circles, oops my guts justs fell out of my arsehole, deerrhh." made other stupid comments that were funny as long as you don't take stuff too seriously. he was just ingnorant in general and was probably a closeted strongman fan..lol

the old saying.... those who joke, wish they were...

If there isn't powerlifting, weightlifting, or strongman on tv - I don't watch anything.

TV is for sheep

Spike tv is for couch potato's and armchair wannabe's

They used the say the same thing about general weightlifting not too long ago~

I still get asked what kind of steroids I use to be big- I usually tell them "1RM" and they nod like they know what I'm talking about.

"Semper Libero Potens"
