Just a note to let all you smack-talkers and wanna-be's out there that Jesse's the reason this site is here and most of you have something to do in your free-time! Many of us still think of Jesse often and all of his antics...a true champ and man of strength...

It seems strange to miss a man I never met, but I do all the same.

I never had the pleasure of meeting him, and telling him that he was the one that got me into Strongman. After seeing him compete on TV so many times, he had such a great attitude and respect for the sport. Without Jesse as our representative, Strongman would not be where it is today! You will always be missed brother, and you will never be forgotten!

Absolutely correct, Corey. Respect to Marunde family. RIP Jesse.

Coming out to the gym in Sequim was always on my "to do" list.
I missed the chance to meet him but to watch the events, read his posts, and see his memory carried on by family, friends, fans, and fellow competitors is a true indication of the impact he made while he was here.
I plan to honor my original plan and make it out there to see Callie and the Crew represent a Great Husband, Father, Son, Friend, and Lifter on May 3rd 2008!
See you there!

Thanks Corey for posting that, I hadn't seen it before. Those picts of Jesse and his boy got me choked up, kind of put things in perspective. Thanks again, Doug
