Has anybody else read this. I don't know what the three strongman disiplines are...any ideas?

um...

log press(since it shows it, and that'd be my guess anyway)
yoke(farmers would be 2nd guess)
stones

Probably log, stones, and truck pull. Standardizing strongman kind of defeats the purpose though.

I agree with the Log, but some kind of Deadlift; whether it be 18" pull, silver dollar, or hummer deadlift. And then for the third I'd say the stones, probably max weight or 5 or 6 for the fastest time.

truck pull is not possible to standardize so I'm confident that will not be one of the events. Every situation is different.

It could be log, farmers, yoke, deadlift, stones--those are the ones that IFSA has been standardizing. If it is at a bodybuilding contest it may have limited space so I'd bet on log, dead and stones.

I don't see how standardizing defeats the purpose. All that means is that you use the same equipment and same weight as prior contests. Not all events need to be standardized, but it is cool I think to have some that are--that way you can have the records. Without some standardization records are completely meaningless.
