ALAN!!!
I got back from a couple of stressed out day at sea doing drills, eating horrible food, and freezing my butt off, and it was all worth it because when I got home I came home to the smiling face of my Pitbull Yoke all wrapped up and pretty waiting for me. Santa Clause ain't got nothin on you!

I love this thing, its made so well, its like a compact tank in the shape of a yoke, made to withstand a nuclear blast! I sat in my living room and did yoke presses with it for a while. Then I curled up with it in my bed and went to sleep. Hehehe.

Big Matt - thats awesome. I am out of town in Chicago and California the next couple weeks, but when I get back I am ordering some farmer's bars from Alan. Hopefully the weather will be better in a couple of weeks, lets get together with Chris and train, my shoulder is a lot better.

This is a G rated forum. You really think after sleeping with it on the first night that the videos are going to be anything but XXX rated?

Ben, sorry no camera.
Alex, no clue what it weight 150-200 ballpark how many plates, enough, I've heard people get it up to 800+ safely
Victor, I already have pitbull deluxe farmers on the way, so yeah, feel free to come on over when you're back, I'm pretty sure chris graduates this month. I have two stones made right now, but one is a 21 inch 340-355 ish, with the other stone being a 240-250ish.

Does that yoke fit the normal rubber coated 45 lb. plates?
I got some farmers from Alan, but I can only fit the old school metal plates on it. The rubber coated ones they use in fitness clubs won't work. I am considering buying a yoke from him, but I don't want to buy one, if I am going to have to go out and invest in 800 lbs. of metal plates.

Talk to Alan and see if he can use different size tubing for the loading pins. He will work with you on it.

As long as your plates are 2 inch standards then it should be fine. Most likely they are not.

That's the dilemma. " 2" standard plates" are not uniform. Most high quality plates like Eleiko, Ivanko and some others have 1.97" holes, whereas cheap solid steel plates have full 2" holes.

Even high end plates should fit on 1.5" steel tubing - which IIRC Alan is using. High end plates will NOT fit on 2" cold rolled steel - as in a solid axle, because of what Mr. Landrich mentioned above. Here in our crew, Tom Mitchell recently traded in all his Ivanko plates for the chinese "standard" brand 2" plates so he could use them on his 2" cold rolled farmers, and the FBBC Powerstairs implement.

Mr? Did I do something to offend you and now we're formal?
However, technically...............1.5" steel PIPE is 1.9" outside diameter. Tubing is measured outside diameter, so 2" tubing is a full 2". I buy both from my steel supplier, so I have to be careful not to order the wrong size.

As an engineer I do think Mike that you may have just slightly aroused me with your level of knowledge about the difference between piping and tubing! In a very non homo way. ;) I have some cheaper standards myself, and they aren't exactly easy to slide on and off I have to jimmy them around a bit. HOWEVER, I DID GET MY DELUXE FARMERS HANDLES LAST NIGHT.............AND I SLEPT WITH THEM UNDER MY PILLOW FOR THE STRONGMAN FAIRY!!!
(high end equipment ain't so high end if you can't use it)

Just got back to roch and our new 10" pittbull log was waiting for me locked under the stairs...
i must say, I can't use the ivanko plates but the bumper plates slide on with some fight... I might sand it down slightly, and use some mineral oil, but I must say, it's absolutely gorgeous and took no time to be made and shipped here. GREAT price, as well.
Thanks Alan.
