After always reading everyone's training logs, I thought I would join in.

10-15-05
Pushed my Chevy Silverado 75 feet X 2, with a little parking brake applied half way. Was going to pull it with a harness, but the harness broke before I could use it

Farmers Walk-
125 x 50ft 1 turn
215 x 50ft 1 turn
265 x 50ft
305 x 20 ft
305 x ~50ft Which is incredible for me. The most I ever did before was 275 for a hold.

12" Log Clean and Press (Playing around a bit with strict press)
205 X 1
205 X 2
205 x 2

Stones-
255 X 3 to 48"
Low back was so tired from lifting farmers, couldn't load any heavier stones

10-16-05
3 Mile run in the morning to raise money for the Univeristy of Wiscosnin Milwaukee Scholarship Foundation (Was sore for rest of day)

Deadlift
135 X 8
215 X 10
265 X 10
285 X 10
315 X 8
345 X 6

Front Squat
225 X 5 X 3

Then pounded some good homework for the rest of the day

Hey Jeff, Nice work on the FW...especially for a fellow "105er". Looks like there will be plenty of contests next year in WI.

Jeff, finally got you a log going, nice. Now you can push me to lift more.

Thanks Paul. There is still a lot of training before next year, hopefully we can compete and have fun in some of the same contests. We'll have to all train at Big Tony's again some weekend during the winter. That was a blast last year.

Carl, you gotta keep training. You don't want your young apprentice (me) to pass you.

Hey Jeff-
Hopefully you remember me from the Harvest Strongman last October? Good to see you are sticking with it - looks like you're getting stronger (205 log x2, etc). Hope to see you around somewhere next year. Best wishes.

Vince- Of course I remember you. That was a fun day, being a novice at contest. Now we get to tangle with the big boys. I am up to about 220 pounds right now. Be sure to keep me informed on the contests you plan to do next year, maybe we will cross paths. How has your training been going? Have you been able to compete? You and your wife must have a child about a year old, right?

Lainey is 7 mos as of yesterday. She's fun.
I did the NAS JWC Strongman (Kirksville, MO), a contest in Waterloo IA and the Iowa Games Strongman this season. Training has slowed down a bit recently as I'm trying to heal some things up. I have to admit I envy your group of guys that train together as motivation is tough at times when training alone. I'll have to post to see if anyone around here wants to train the implements next spring. Maybe sometime I could swing up that way and train with you guys? Looks like you're with a good group of guys, awfully strong too.

220#s?! That's great. I see where you did Chicago and Big Tony's this year- that's really cool. My wife would like to visit Chicago, so we will try to make that one in April. See you around and keep up the progress.

Hey vince, my brother lives in Iowa City, he's pretty busy but may like to train sometime. I'll let him know. Where are you in Iowa, and what contest was in Waterloo.

Carl-
Independence, about 1:00 - 1:15 north of Iowa City. The Waterloo contest was the Cedar Valley's Strongest Man, July 9th at the Lost Island water park. Kaz made an appearance, which was cool. I think I met your brother in Indiana last year? I've got a decent variety of implements. Thanks, Vince

Carl- You better be training harder!

Vince- Any time you can make up to the Milwaukee area you can train with us. There are usually about 4 different places we go to train implements. Just keep me informed if you are planning on coming up or give me some optional days. We are always training implements on Saturday, then we do lifts during the week or what ever our schedule holds. Just keep going Vince with your workouts, if you put your mind to it I believe you can get an awesome workout by yourself.

10/20/05

Workout 7-8PM
Warm-Ups

RDL's
135 X 10
225 X 6
305 X 5
315 X 5 X 4 (Low back was fried, but that is my weak spot)
My form felt weak and awkward

Back Squat - Deep
225 X 5 X 5 in about 7 Minutes

Bent Over Rows
225 X 5 X 5

It just felt good to move some weights since it was a long week at school. The next three days all have some hard training planned in them, so I am pumped.
