I think she has actually gained weight since last year, not muscle either... Still doesnt do it for me. I think she is cool, I saw her on an interview once. But whenyour job is on National Television... she could probably tighten it up.

Was anybody not yelling at the TV for the one-legged guy in the Eliminator? That was so awesome.

I think there is not enough shock value for this type of show anymore. Shows/Sports are alot more extreme than they were in the early 90's. in the 80's and early 90's everyone watched boxing, and now that is too boring for most because they want to watch UFC where guys are getting kicked in the face instead of punched by padded gloves.

the show is ok but my big problem is the requirements for the male contestants you have to be under 6ft and under 185lbs. to make the gladiators look more impressive.

I was impressed with the guy with one leg he never gave up on any of the events

I liked the old eliminator better (old as in last season).

And... is that really true about the contestants have to be under a specific height and weight? It does seem like that.

I agree, every contestant on the show acts like half the guys at any LA Fitness gym doing curls in the power rack. A lot of overhype, unnecessary drama and corny lame comments.

Have to say I agree here. I'm getting a little tired of the "it's not the size of the dog in the fight" hype. It's great to see some of the smaller guys get shots, but honestly, 5"5 and 170lbs? This is pushing it IMO. After hearing all the stories of my friends that tried out and others on the board that tried out and were turned down because they were too big, I'm kinda over it. That guy with 1 leg was a friggen stud though...

Off topic but: I would have to disagree, boxing has cut it's own throat. I don't think the demand for more extreme sports has caused the switch from boxing to MMA. I was a big boxing fan, but with all the politics and bad decisions in a number of fights along with the tendency for more fighters to clinch and dance alot instead of mixing it up, it became boring. MMA just happened by at the right time when a lot of people were bored with the direction boxing had gone. Not to mention a good marketing campaign on Spike TV and cheaper and more entertaining PPVs. I would still watch boxing if it was more like the Ward-Gotti fights.
