I just got back from the contest Tom was unreal. This was the first time I have ever seen anyone double over hand grip a 2 3/8" diameter axel weighing 315lbs. and go straight to a lock-out with no pause at the chest. Tom's pressing is simply sick strict pressing all (7) reps.

Thanks everybody, I'm grateful for the win. I'm glad I qualified for ASM. It was nice competing w all these guys. Most of them were really cool. The heat and humidity was crazy though, I couldn't believe how slippery the stone was. I had to pull the 1st one to my lap because it surprised me how slick it was. I had to squeeze it a little harder than usual. It was also nice meeting a lot of guys I haven't met yet. Personally, the one who surprised me the most was Brad Dunn! Big improvements since the last time I saw him. That to me is awesome when I get to compete with someone and see 1sthand the improvements they've made.

Hell of a job Saturday, Tom. You looked great. I would have to say you and Van are the favorites in San Diego. Thanks for the above compliment. I have been working hard on making both the physical and mental adjustments neccesary. Hopefully I can impress a little more next month at ASM. It will be a battle for those top four spots to represent Team USA in the Ukraine. I am looking forward to seeing you and everyone else there. Time to take the training up a notch or two!
