I'm pretty spoiled in that I have access to leftover concrete out of a ready mix truck while working in concrete construction. This makes it cheap and easy to pour stones. However, due to the fact that the truck needs to get back on the road quickly, I needed to find a big funnel to get the concrete into the molds faster.
While at Home Depot purchasing a piece of cardio equipment (push mower) I looked around for a suitable funnel and found one.......sort of. The funnels they had were all too small, but I spotted an orange caution cone for sale which was 28" at the base. I figured I would flip it upside down, cut the tip off enough to let the concrete flow through and stick it in the mold to use as a funnel.
Most of you hand mix your stones, so this might not be a big help to you. If you like to keep things tidy though, it will help you keep the exterior of your molds clean.
