Well, just thought I'd share what has been going on down here in SW Missouri. One of my training partners and I just opened a 10,000 sq foot hardcore strength training gym. We already have about 20 members so the bills are paid.
We are super excited about the gym - dont care about making money - just want a great place to train that will pay the bills. Anyone is welcome to come train here - we'd love to learn from and/or teach anyone.
I couldn't believe how much equipment we actually owned when we put our stuff together, but here is a short list of the important stuff:
2 Power racks on platforms
Crepinsek monolift attachment
Power bars, cambered bars, safety squat bars, football bars, axles, trap bars, logs, etc. - every bar ever made.
Deadlift/Olympic lifting platform
A real Westside pro roller reverse hyper
2 glute ham raises
Leg press/hack squat/karleson squat machine
2 45 degree hypers
2 lat pulldowns
full set of dumbells
standing calf raise
seated calf raise
t-bar row
boxing equipment
plyo boxes
multiple sets of bands, 200+lbs of chain, boards for pressing, boxes for squatting, foam for benching and squatting
a ton of weight
about 15 stones and all the stone molds, kegs, sandbags, etc.
stone platforms
10 tires from 250lbs to 930 lbs and sledgehammer
yoke
2 sets of farmers
full set of grip tools
foam rollers/massagers/etc
anyway, that's a short list - theres a bunch more than that.
Here's some pics...

That's an awesome gym! I wish I could clean out my gym and set it up like that. The owner has ten of every machine and it's all crammed in together. Would kill for a place to work out like that. Congrats on getting it opened up!

Nice gym! It'll be nice training moving events indoors when winter hits.

Dave (and everyone),
Thanks! Yes, the single greatest thing about the gym is that its 140' long so all moving events (tire, yoke, farmers, drags, rope pulls, etc) can be done inside.
Id definitely like to extend an invitation out to anyone who wants to come get a training day in at the gym. You all are welcome to come train here anytime.

But where is my beloved smith machine? The brightly painted walls? The puss pads for the smith machines? ...or even the awesome grunt alarm?
CONGRATS!!!! That looks like a freegy cool place Matt :mag: Question, how is the outside? Would the members be able to do anything like FW or Yoke walks outside or is it too confined? Good luck with it man!
Matt Reynolds

We have a big parking lot where you could do all of your outside stuff too. But not why you would since you have 140' of strongman lane inside.

Ah, alright then! I prefer to do walks and yokes outside, just a personal preferance thing :D That's why I was wondering.
