SOMEBODY STOLE OUR TIRE!!! THE KITSAP CREW HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN KICKED IN THE JUNK BY AN UNKNOWN BURGLAR! THE ITEM BURGLED IS A 650 LB TIRE NAMED FLIPPY! ITS BIG, BLACK, WITH MEDIUM TREAD WEAR. AND WE MISS IT GREATLY. IF YOU HAVE ANY KNOWLEDGE LEADING TO THE ARREST (or butt whoopin via kitsap crew) OF THE BURGLAR, THERE IS A REWARD OF TONS OF RESPECT AND PROBABLY ALOT OF REP POINTS. ;)

Just look around your and I bet you'll find it a few 100 yards away.

Not like old tires are high value items...

Some kids just rolled it away - got tired of it and left near by.

Flippy will be fine.

Exactly! I doubt anyone took the time to load it on a Truck and drive off with it.

Our 650 was stolen once by some airheads who "wanted a table or a couch" or something. One of their boyfriends suggested they return it.

Wait... so your 650lb tire was carried off by girls? or guys with certain... likes?

I actually had scrappers come by my house 3 times looking to take the 2 180lb Inch Replica's, I was so worried they were going to come up missing but they didn't. What an odd thing to steal though, a 650lb tire.

I'd say your looking for practical jokers or aspiring strongmen teens:D

Zach - There were 3 of them who stood it up and rolled it.

Jay - that's why we keep our 24k gold logs safely hidden.

That's actually how I get most of my equipment. I once got a 500lb anchor chain that way!

Speaking of theivery. Two years ago I had (5) kegs stolen from the back of World's Gym in Fort Myers, Florida. Now before you say well thats no so unusual considering aluminum has value to it consider the weights of the kegs: 240, 260, 280, 320 and a 430!

Yes I typed that correctly, I said 430lbs!! The 430lbs. keg had a lot of lead smolted (melted into the center surrounded by sand). Sense that time I invested into a log chain and chained everything up from that point on.

Never ceases to amaze me how many low life, crack heads there are in this world. The truth be told I would have given the crack heads the 430lbs. keg had they allowed me to watch them load it. How many 145lbs. crack heads does it take to load a 430lbs. keg?

Matthew, sorry for the loss. If you find out who stole it.....you know what to do. :EP:

So are you saying I should sell my platinum yoke for maybe one made of iron? Hmm...something to think about.

There is a slight chance that somebody rolled it into the nearby lake, however, I would think there is a much bigger chance that somebody stole it that is an aspiring strongman or other type of athlete.

The first tire I ever had got stolen. It was about 450 lbs or so, and oddly enough, someone I knew saw a bunch of kids rolling it away to who knows where just for kicks. Such is life I guess.

My tire gained the company of another tire in the field behind my house. Go figure.
Having had some experience with crackheads at work, I think it takes around 6, 145 lb. crackheads to steal a heavy keg if they are ON crack. If they are coming down OFF the crack, it takes around 10-12. They might have thought there was still beer in it. I'm not making it up, you wouldn't believe the things they'll do.

Check in the back of some gyms in the area. Someone from a gym may have taken it and is storing behind the gym.

How lame that there's people out there that feel the need to steal a tire.
Anyone had problems with atlas stones being taken? I'm planning on storing some out the back of my gym, which is also the car park, opposite which is a bigger car park. I'm worried that some genius is gonna think it a good idea to roll them onto the road or worse.

I personally think this is funny as hell. I loved pulling pranks as a kid so this kind of stuff is right up my alley. Haha! You will get it back man. Or if you don't big effing deal, you can get another one for free most likely. Good luck with finding it though. Don't beat up the kids that stole it, just put them inside and roll it down a hill, that is way worse punishment. Haha!

Jay, the crappy thing is we store our stuff at a gym, and it was in the back of the gym, the only people who would know about it are our own members. So it was an inside job.....darn hippies!

Adam...........I'll roll them into the colorful part of Seattle and find them some boyfriends!

Matt, you forgot, while you were out at sea we also had a 75 foot piece of 2" diameter tug boat rope stolen from there as well.

After our last training we stacked our other 600# tire on top of our 1100 pound tire, and put our 240 stone on top of that. All I got to say is it all better be there next week when we come out to train. Should have taken a pic of that....hopefully some jerk won't see it as a challenge.

Kind of sucks that we will probably have to chain up our tires or something. Seriously hope no one takes our stones...Kitsap crew is starting to gel... :EP:

Haha, I live in the colorful part of Seattle and believe me there are more than boyfriends to be had here :-)

Hopefully you find your tire man. I'd just head to a tire shop and get it replaced though.

The tire is not in the bay I took a look and didn't see it. We will get some more and paint everything pink.

During this past football season, The cross-country team stole our 350lbs tire and rolled it down this hill next to the field. How dare they treat Linda like that? That's what we named our tire. We also named our driving sled Bernice after the coach's mother!

Hahaha, awesome dead thread resurrection! After all this time, our 1100 pound (at least) tire was also stolen! I can't believe that happened. I now think that someone took it to put in a playground, as I am seeing a bunch of huge tires buried halfway sticking out of sand...plus it is getting hard to get good big tires lately...pics of our missing tires below, the 650 on top of the 1100. Even that atlas stone on top broke in half...:(
