<shaking head> LOL

It's Pantera, Slaughtered, from the Far Beyond disc.

A thorough knowledge of Pantera should be a prereq for all strength athletes. There may be a test at your next competition.

I listen to punk, street punk, and 80's hardcore mostly. I have CD's with "rest songs" spaced out in certian spaces to rule my workout. My main workout CD, has some new hardcore/screamcore (atreyu, nodes of ranvier, hopesfall), some emocore (evergreen terrace), 80's hardcore/streetpunk/punkrock (cocksparrer, Motorhead, dropkick, ag front), and a couple songs from Faith No More because they were one of first original bands I ever listened to besides typical 80's metal (megadeth, helloween, metallica)... and set the stage for my introduction to punk rock.

20 rep squats/deads to Faith No More's "Midlife Crisis" seem to work well, just like the metal cover of "Shout" in the Sarge squat vid... I gotta get that on mp3

I am reading ROMO right now, and there is a psychological effect caused by certian music. Bill used John Denvers - Rocky Mountain High. The calmer music allows for greater focus, and you can "hype" yourself up better. Its a rather interesting concept.. So yea, mellow stuff for me now, although I do love heavier stuff such as Pantera, At the Gates, Lamb of God, Rammstein etc

Mac, just because most of us listen to metalhead music when we train, dosen't mean that we don't appreciate anything else.

However, you posted before that you trained to hip hop, so ha! I let your cat out of the bag.

I, yes, Mr. Punk Rock Joshua, have and do listen to hip hop on occasion... albeit it is usually relatively old school... (RunDMC, Digital Underground, Digable Planets, etc)

Funny you mention that. I play music during high rep sets, but I have to turn off the music for PR attempts.

LOL!!! I can't get up for those cats. Even though they are loaded in my disc changer in the truck (yes, I drive a truck on 20" rims, more stereotypes I guess, LOL). Anyway, I train to DMX, Wu-Tang, Lil John, Ludacriss. I tend to train to hard core hip hop and not slow stuff.

Josh, you forgot to mention that I also train to Mettalica and Anthrax as well as some Kid Rock and other rap metal artist! Must be the white side of me coming out... LOL!!!!

I can listen to rap (in very small doses) in everyday life, but for training....there is nothing better than metal, pure, hard & heavy!

And punk, rock, thrash, industrial, trance......but metal reigns supreme!

Heads up all you white guys :-)

Nevermore, The Godless Endeavour...chock-full of positive aggression and even time signitures for busting out the reps!

Unfortunately, if you are anything other than male, caucasian, under 40 then chances are this will suck for you.Cliches are cliche, but they're fun to sarc with :-)

Even though I now live in the Northwest I am still Texan by blood so I gotta stay true to my roots. If you like southern stuff check out Herschelwood Hardheadz (sp?) and Youngstar these guys are super cool. As for other rap I also dig Cypress Hill and Ludacris and Ying Yang Twins not a fan at all of east coast though Jay Z and the likes cant rap in my opinion.
