Nice clean Joe, anyways my question is can you do this in a competition?

I was taught to do that when doing power cleans. I think the woman who taught me is a bit misinformed.

Didn't someone use that technique in the car deadlift at WSM a couple of years ago?
I think it is generally against the rules though. Depends on the promoter, but I can't imagine that's good for the bar/axle/whatever you're bouncing.

Yeah they were pushing down then pulling to get the rebound of the shocks.

I was gonna do this in Topeka's Strongest Man but when I showed Phil he decided against it. Their was actually a thread about it on the KC Strongman forum.

That would definitely not fly at most shows, especially a Ntl. or platinum one.
