I received an email from Mark's wife and she informed me of the youtube video diary Mark is doing during his recovery from his bicep tear (sustained during the worlds)

Just for the heck of it I measured my hand in the same way. It's 9 inches.

Just for the heck of it my hands are slightly over 10" Im willing to bet banana hands Brouse is 10.5-11" If someone showed him how to position and set properly he would be mashing that #3 within a few sessions. Maybe even on the first with his strength.

Mine are 10.25, I wonder what "normal" is? I know when I shook Phil Pfister's hands it was like grabing a baby are the waist, so I can only imagine what his are. The other thing to consider, is the width. It looked to me like Felix has hands VERY wide, which I suppose would also make a large difference.

The thing that makes his hands is the distance from his wrist to the tip of his middle finger which translates to grabbing bars and stuff more. I'm sure it's insane.

And Chris, your hands are similar size to mine. Freak.

Well, I think he measured both, right? He said his hand is 13" in length, which would mean wrist to middle finger tip, and then measured pinkie to thumb on video and it was 11" (my pinkie and thumb are only 8" apart :( )

I get ya, my wrist to middle tip is only 8.5. That makes more sense to me. I know people have said his hands are very similar to Pfister's and I was trying to figure out how mine could be that close to his. It all makes sense now.

Yay!!! My hands are 9" accross in the same manner Felix's are 11". They're only 7 1/4 from middle finger to wrist.

You can see how frustrated Fe is in these videos, hopefully the enforced rest will allow him to come back bigger and stronger, poor guy really over competed this year (IMHO) and it would be great to see him back at his best in 2009. FYI wrist to tip 8.5" Span 10"

Over on the gripboard its common practice to measure hand size from the first crease on your wrist to top of middle finger. Average is 7"-7.5" good is 7.5-8"... 8-8.5" and you were dealt a very good hand(pun intended) if your over 8.5 your pretty much in the top %

The way Felix measures in the video isnt a good way to tell hand size. He is only 1" off of mine and some others but his hands are muccchhhh bigger than that.

Wait, you're talking about Felix in the video right? I'm sure he says that his hands are 10.5 in length (wrist to middle finger tip) not 13. I would think it would be odd if your pinkie to thumb was shorter than wrist to middle finger.
