So after discussing circuit training last night, are we gonna do it? How about this, I'll make workout #1, you guys make #2, and for the grand finale we'll see if we can finish one of Sarges workouts. you guys down? if so, do you want to start tomorow or tuesday? If we start monday then I suggest we go again wed then take thur fri off and hit Sarge's freak show on sat. lemme know what you think.

I'm down. Can't speak for Travis, well yeah I can srew it, he's down too. I think that we need one more day of recovery so lets make it Tuesday. Both of us talked about wanting to hit some chest since we haven't in a while so toss some benching or something in there. This could be interesting. Sarges workout? does that involve dying or killing anyone? I'm scared.

OK sounds good to me. I'll just go for a long walk today (monday) then.

Sarge's workout will probably be impossible to finish, but we can try...

Ha, well I was kidding around, Jesse told us stories this weekend about how tough Sarge is. That guy is amazing. Anyhow, what kind of torture do you have cooked up for us tommorrow Jesse?

I will give it a shot. What have you got planned?

no breaks from start till finish. everything is for 15 reps. 3x through the following;

leg extensions
close grip lat pull
one leg deadlift w/ 60lb DB
standing military press (I'm going with 135)
high bar olympic style squat (I'm going with 185)
wide grip lat pull
donkey calf raise
upright row with chains (I'm going with 95lbs +66lbs of chain and I'll swing a little when it gets too hard to do strict)
situps w/ band as resistance

I'm not fooling guys, if you want to get through this 3x without stopping, GO LIGHT! This is active recovery. Alot of guys take the week after a show off, this is the painfull alternative. Next week I start training heavy freak show style. this week is mental. very mental...

So you can start planning for thursday, I anticipate Sarge's workout to include chins, plymometric push ups, back squats followed by stiff leg deadlifts followed by hindu squats followed by max rep stone shouldering. don't know what else he'll want to toss in there, but I have a feeling we're going to see the above anyways... he's sick in the head...

maybe thursday should include bis, tris and lateral raises?

Thats crazy.I gotta try it sometime, just to see if I can pull it off.Do you go 3 times back to back,or do you take a break before you go through all of it again?

Ok that was intense! A good workout for sure. I started to slow down during the second round and had to really push it to get through the 3rd. I almost threw up. Did I not go hard enough if I didnt blow chunks? I'm sure sarge will take care of that. I really underestimated this, never has 185 pound squats felt so hard! I will get with travis and come up with ours for thursday. cool workout!

oh snap! that was rugged bro... I crawled through it. I skipped the upright rows on round three and dropped the squat to a pathetic 135... I think I sweated off 10 pounds...

Ok here is our workout.

Bench
Barbell curls
deadlifts
side laterals
tricep pressdowns
hamstring curls
shrugs- barbell or dumbell
Ab crunches with a twist to each side
single leg bodyweight calve raises

What do ya think? should be pretty intense, thought I'd throw some deadlifts in there to make things interesting. Maybe I will throw up this time! wohooo!

deadlifts... oh ya this is gonna kill me. My back is still tired from the one leg deads on tue. I think I'm going to throw in a set of DB pullovers at the end. My deadlifts are gonna be light I can tell you that already.

I'm gonna have to bail on you this weekend though. Sarge says he's ready for a circuit though. I'm headign to the arnold last minute and am going to try to catch an events workout down there.

Jesse where and when will you be training while you are there if you don't mind telling me? Steve and I will both be there most of the weekend but we really don't want to skip out on events this week.
