I know this has been asked a thousand times before, but what materials should we get to study for the CSCS and how quickly can it be done?

I'd like to certify by March (job opportunity), or possibly February. I can get through an obscene amount of material very quickly and know about 10000x more about this stuff than your average MD-type person, but admittedly that's not saying very much. No formal schooling, no classes, no nothing.

Doable?

I posted a similar thread just a little while ago. Check back in the main forum - James Whisman who has his CSCS responded with a good post.

3 months is enogh time to get through all the info.

What to buy for the test depends on your existing knowledge.

Basic Exercise Phys: type I/type II, insulin/glucagone/cortisol, crebs cycle/ATP production ect. joints/levers

Exercise Technique: During the second pull of a clean the bar should be over the _______ part of the foot? What is the appropriate spotting technique for ________? Which of the following lifts is it impossible to get a true 1RM for? Concentric/Eccentric/Isotonic/Isometric

Program Design: Which of the following set/rep schemes is most appropriate for a basketball player in the off season? What is the appropriate order for the following exercises? A female basketball player presents the following testing data, Identify her weaknesses

Testing and Evaluation: The vertical jump most accuratly measures what? Which of the following test would be appropriate for measuring lower body strength?

The text books and practice exams helped me the most, the CD of the symposium were not as helpful. The main thing to remember when taking the test is what answer are they looking for not what answer do I believe is correct.

Too easy...

Nik, a few people close to me are taking it next week. Let's chat afterwards and I will try and give you some feedback.
