Todays workout is in my log, I just figured posting it here would be easier to find, lol.
Chest/tris
Floor presses-modified and paused (2 seconds)
315x5
405x5
505x5
605x2
650x1
Thats all I had time for due to a meeting for my Jan term class. I did all of these paused, closer than comp grip, and raised (so I could touch my chest). I did these in order to help get ready for the Palmer classic meet. I am ready and looking very much forward to the meet. I was setup like I do for a comp bench (up on my traps) but no leg drive, I was very pleased with how explosive I was off of my chest.

The board its posted on doesn't contain anything even remotely close to steroid info or porn, the first link I posted did and was taken down.

Yeah it is, and I respect that. It was my bad, I am just glad I had it on a non-offensive board also so I could post the link and maybe get some feedback from the guys on here.

I have a video of me doing 615x2 that I will be posting (have to get it from the guy who taped it for me), and then I will be taking some vids from my dec. 18th raw meet. I am a poor ass college student so the only time I can get vids done is if a friend who has one brings it by. Hopefully I can get one for x-mas, lol.

Yesterday all I got in were rack pulls, 10" high (higher than the bar) and worked my way up to 850 (up to 650 without a belt, I am paying for that today).

Felt a little weak today, I think its because I haven't eaten much (until just now) because of school being so hectic. I think workouts will be a little shorter the next couple weeks until finals are over with. Luckilly my raw debut will 3 days after finals are over so I will be getting plenty of rest before hand.

LOL, those days are long past for me. I have been forced to settle down by my training (and before that my gf, soon to be fiance). I do miss those days, except for the hangovers, lol.

Once again I had to cut the workout short because of school work, it was still a very productive workout and I tied my touch and go PR with a paused rep. This is my last real heavy workout before the meet on the 18th. I will work tri's heavy again, but will slack off on the bench (nothing over 600-615, my starting weight at the comp). I get more excited about this meet after every chest workout. Tri's are sore as hell already, I take that as a sign that I have worked them hard enough.

What's the point of an elevated floor press? Isn't that basically just doing a bench press on a very short bench or is there more to it? (Either way 665 is very impressive). Also, whats a tate press?

Floor presses allow absolutely no leg drive, way harder than a low bench.
Yeah, what exercise did DaveTate tag his name to?

Just like the one shown, except on an incline (similar to incline used for shoulder presses).
I do elevated floor presses because of the lack of leg drive and because my liftoff guy is short and tends to drop the heavier weights on me when we use the flat bench, lol

I've tried those in the past. I remeber them killing my elbows though. Never knew they were called tate presses. I'll have to give them another shot.

LOL, me neither until Aaron Snider pointed out there name to me. In my log you will notice an exercise I call "medial tricep presses" or something and say that I don't have a clue what its actual name is, well its called a tate press :BB:

No rack pulls due to me forgetting to bring straps (I have the grip strength of a little girl). I still got a pretty good workout in, not too heavy and not too light. No school work to mess with tonights workout which was very nice. I am a little upset about the lack of rack pulls, I am really starting to love them, I guess I could throw them in on thursday.

Hit everything hard one last time before my upcoming comp, I am going to take everything easy next week and not go over my opener (600 or 615). I had a couple misses on bench because of lousy handoffs, its hard to adjust with 635 in your hands and then try and get the rep. On all the bad handoffs I ended up slipping to one side the bench because the bar was just dropped before I got a chance to set. I will be sore as hell tomorrow, but am going to eat everything in my house and my gf's room tonight, so that should help with recovery. My shoulders are a little sore from all the heavy lifting, especiall the heavy inclines after everything else.

ok, I did a tri workout that I didn't post, wasn't anything special. Today I did chest, and worked up to my opener 615. I did the lift with a flat back (no arch, no shoulder tuck) and a 5 sec pause. It went up pretty easilly, but that long of a pause made it a little harder than I thought it would be. My workouts will be nice easy ones for the rest of the week due to my upcoming comp and this is finals week at my college.
