Went to the hospital today for my checkup on the broken arm. The bone is healing fine, maybe even faster than normal the doc said. The bad thing though is that my thumb still isn't working, so they may have to do another surgery to replace some tendons, which will keep me out even longer. I go in soon to get an EMG to see if the problem might be the muscle. I hope it is the muscle, that would mean that no surgery would be required, just waiting. Wish me luck!

Tough luck man. I wish you well in the next coming weeks/months. How are you doing in terms of day to day? Anything you cannot do that you did before the injury? How are things in the gym? Legs better be getting huge :)

Matt, the day to day stuff is pretty normal, but my work is affected by the arm. I'm an avionics tech, but the squadron I work in is an enroute squadron, which means it's mostly gas-and-go, changing the oil, and marshalling. Because of my arm I can't do a lot of my avionics stuff or any of the physical labor with the aircraft. About my legs getting huge, I wish! I'm not allowed to squat because my doc dosn't want me to use it to support the bar. In fact, I was just cleared today to start running. He didn't want me to before because of the bouncing.

You know I think our gym has a safety squat bar, or maybe its a cambered bar. We have the US militarys top powerlifting team here at the gym I train at, and I think I saw one the the powerlifting closet.
