Hey there everybody, I'm Colin Wetlaufer and new to the board. I just thought I'd do a little introduction since it seemed polite and all.
21-age
275-weight
6'2"
I am on a football scholarship right now to Hillsdale College in Michigan. I am a center, but pretty lean for my position at 14% bf.
I had a pretty big shoulder surgery this spring which affected my lifting last summer a great deal as well as my fall. But some of my PR's are:
331 lbs Clean and Jerk
540 squat
335 bench (crappy I know)
225*6 military

These are all pre surgery and I haven't maxed out on anything since then. I am coming back strong though and will destroy these lifts by next fall (that is the plan anyway).

I am a HUGE strongman fan. I hope to one day get into it after football and I try to use many event lifts in my own lifting routine. I feel strongman training seems to have the best correlation to football and I try to advance my knowledge and training constantly. I recently purchased a log and some good farmers walk barbells. I have a tire, around 800-1000 they told me which has become pretty easy. And my buddy and I are trying to invest in some tires. SO far this is my only strongman equipment but I train using many of the other event ideas as closely as I can. I've been doing this in the summers more as a preseason method and attempting to gain as much overall strength and mass as possible.

Goals-get strength back
get bodyweight over 280
lower bodyfat to around 12 while I gain the muscle

ANyway I'm excited to learn from all the great guys on this board and I've been lurking for awhile. Jesse got me here, I was reading the articles on his site and found my way over here. He is America's next WSM and representing for all the ex-footballers. So I can't wait to learn from you guys and get my diet spot on as well as my training and make all my goals asap

I had seen you talk about it at your first WSM and thats actually when I started. I think tire flips might help me more directly then the cleans do.
