My hole in the wall gym is going to be closing soon. My options for a new home are limited. Either expensive chains, or guido filled places.
I just went to aviator sports because I saw an old tnation post talking the place up, but they seemed to have gotten rid of most equipment. While they have a rack bumpers and reverse hyper, it's not worth $50/month plus the traveling.
Gonna check out one more place nearbye before I have to settle on the guido filled, curling in the squat rack gym

Maybe check a "play it again sports" or craigslist to make a home gym

It may take awhile but keep looking.
Nice squat rack $100.00 in November. (sells for $399-499)
2-100# dumbbells & 8-45 plates $75.00 in January(I couldn't even buy 1 db for this price).
2-90, 1-85, 1-70 & 1-65 dumbbells for $60.00 in November.(again 1 db would cost $60).
trap bar for $30.00 in October (sells for $275-299).

Sorry to hear that Billy, that's really sad. Edward is right, though, you can find awsome deals. I personally have better workouts out of someone's garage than I have at a commercial place anyway. Its like a great big "no judgement zone"!!! :EL: Maybe see about buying your gyms stuff if they are closing.

Thanks guys. I would get my own stuff, but I just don't have a space for it.

Do you have a door in your place? If so, I just saw an info-mercial for something called the Perfect Pullup! It looks amazing, the people on TV were saying it would revolutionize the entire fitness industry. It works your arms, chest, back, and somehow, your legs, all in one simple workout. Just 8 minutes a day in your own home, something to think about instead of wasting money on a traditional, innefective, boring gym.

Dripping sarcasm at it's finest.....:N:
My favorite part of the ad is the dips, with a 2-3" ROM

I have heard, from the squat rack curlers, that a 2-3" ROM on any exercise will give a person better definition!

I saw something similar called the perfect pushup. Seems that it is great for blasting the legs and biceps.
I guess it's just a matter of if I want to go vertical or horizontal.
I was still considering aviator based on the fact that they have some bumpers, an rh and chains, but I found a place that is close that has the absoluute minimum; a rack and weights.
There is a displaced powerlifter from my gym too. Big dude. 500+ bench. He's not sure where he's gonna go

Your new partner in gym ownership? Buy out the hole in the wall gym and make it work! (Easy to say when I'm not the one who would stand to lose anything!)
