I started feeling sorry for Sarge around 50-lol. That was just awesome. I was yelling at the computer by the end and my daugther came into the room and must've thought I was nuts.

That had to have been one of the,if not THE most insane lifting video Ive ever seen.Sarge definitely has a huge amount of physical and mental strength!I thought it was pretty bad @$$ that he went back and tried to get more reps.

WOW! That is something to shoot for, 100 reps with your bodyweight on your back. That is something that may have never been done yet, I am sure that Sarge will destroy it. This is definately something I am going to train to achieve, I am cutting weight anyway so now is a good time to train for it and give it hell. I am sure it will hurt real bad but it looks like a lot of fun. I have done high rep squats before but never near 98 reps. This is gonna be my new obsession. What a goal to shoot for. Congradulations Sarge, I am sure you will hit 100 reps with no problem. Best video I have seen in a very long time, maybe the best ever.

you guys are not going to beleive this. Sarge went and did Callie's circuit training class tonight. One hour of high intense cardio. I think he did it just to prove to himself that he can walk away from something like that unscathed. He says he's not sore, though I detect a slight limp in his walk.

WOW, that was one of the coolest things I have ever seen. Not only is the number of reps phenominal, but he never loses his form either, which is usually the first to go when you get tired,
Great job Sarge, btw I have the same shoes as you! Very Cool!!

At 30, I thought - no way; at 50, I saw what he was made of; at 79, I was inspired; however, when he got back under the bar to get those last reps, I got a glimpse of who he really is! Eventhough he couldn't get his legs to do what his head was telling them to do, I was still amazed at his determination to try again! Amazing, Sarge!

I knew he wasn't going to get any more reps once he crashed. I knew there was no way he stopped at 98 if he could have in anyway figured out how to stand up with 99. He went to total true failure. but ya, gotta give him props for trying for 2 more. he really wanted 100...

Saw this on FI.net.
Incredible.
Reckon its possible to do the same with deadlifts? (Serious question: Sarge. i have wanted to pull 100x1x100 for ages.)
How did you train for this?
Jesse Marunde

Robert, did you read the article? I don't see why a similar schedual wouldn't work for the deadlift. give er a go and be sure to shoot video!
