Oly Shoes???

Wanted to get some Oly Shoes. Before I do I would like some opinions on which ones are really good?

My only pair are VS athletic but they have held up really well and do what I want them to do, help with oly lifts, pressing and front squats. They were pretty cheap too.

I got a pair of Dowins before VS offered them. Same shoe. Mine are 3 yrs old now, and other than one of my bulldogs chewing on the Velcro straps, they're fine. They do have a taller heal than the Adidas though.

I have a pair of the older style Adidas Ironworkers that I love. I use them for overheads, front squats, back squats, & stones. Great shoes, great quality. I have a very flat, wide foot, and I find Adidas run about a size small for me.

I got the rouge do wins, the black ones. They have a shorter heel and I like them going on 2 years now and all tahts broke is the laces lol. Great shoe. When they wear out I going try out the really expensive nike romulus

I have the black do-win rogues too and they are great. Only thing I dont like is that now you have to get them from Rogue Fitness. Nothing against Rogue, but I like going through Wichita Falls. Wichita Falls has a navy blue shoe that looks like the rogues, could be their verion of the black ones so check them out.

My ol' do wins are kinda garbage compared to my new Iron-SportII from Adidas. Heel is just too high on the Do wins.

I've got a pair of Adistars that are about 3 years old. They are great and still in decent shape. I only use them on press, both log and axle.

I have a pair of the Vs. shoes. I would not recommend them. After about 1 year the bottom sole is beginning to come off, and they also have the highest heel of any of the olympic shoes on the market, I believe. It's impossible to go below parallel with them on most types of back squats because the knees travel so far forward.

they are the only ones i ever had (at least 4 years), so all i can say is i like them since they do not have a narrow toe and they can survive multiple trips in the washing machine.

I've got the old style Do Wins. Big heel. I know some sites say the difference between the forefoot and hell is not that drastic, but it sure feels that way. I am trying to start to use them to press in again, but I feel like the big heel throws me too forward, esp. with a 12" log. It might just be a short guy thing.

One thing I have been using them for is stones though. I used to use boots for the extra height, but I am starting to like the oly shoes now.

I am thinking about trying some addidas with a shorter heel. Almost everyone likes the oly shoes for at least pressing, if not squatting and dl'ing. But the Do wins felt like crap for me when I tried to dl in them (of course, I only tried it one day too). If you know someone with your size, try some different shoes out first.
