I have a chance to get some new equipment for our Coast Guard Gym. My first thought is EliteFTS but they says their equipment usually ship in 6-8 weeks. With government funding; I’m not sure I can wait that long. So I’m looking for recommendations on best places to purchase the following gym quality equipment.
2 Good all around bars. Can be used for PL and OLY
Bumper Plates
Platform (I may build this)
Power Rack with plate storage, chin bar, small adjustments
Glute Ham
Reverse Hyper
None of this need be fancy.
Thoughts?

Mick-
Here are a couple of links I would choose if I were in your shoes. Fast, affordable and no middle men. Pro-Elite will customize product for you also.
I used to sell equipment (for a middle man LOL) and sold both these products.

2 Good all around bars. Can be used for PL and OLY i would buy the Texas Power Bar or Rogue Fitness B&R bar. The rogue bar has a lifetime warranty and is a stiff olympic bar that can handle heavy weights on squat or dead.
Bumper Plates depending on how many you need check with glenn pendley or Promaxima. I got some from promaxima because they were local and cheap.
Platform (I may build this) just build it. I have a write on the platform I built and a few other people added what they did for their platform
Power Rack with plate storage, chin bar, small adjustments ,Glute Ham,Reverse Hyper Check out the guys at Legend fitness for all 3 of these. They are the manufacturer for all the westside barbell equipment, and make the reverse hypers, squat racks with 1-2" pin increments and have several GHR machines. There stuff is not super cheap but it is well built and customer service is good(ask for Don Carter and tell him I recommended them).

So here is what happened to me. My work (USAF) asked me to get together a quote for new gym equipment. I called elitefts and basically said I have 60,000 and I need x,y,z can you help? Elite, and Jim were great, awesome customer service, the quote came in well short of 60,000 (lowest bidder) AND they offered to come to the gym and set the equipment up. At this point sugar plumbs are dancing in my head.....
The quote gets approval from my chain and the base contracting sq. And then some a-hole in accounting buys the equipment from lifestyle fitness. The racks suck and feel like they are made of a plastic/metal mix and the GHR has a foot plate that might fit a size six shoe. All of this buffoonery because lifestyle fitness has a GSA contract. Oh and everything we got from lifestyle is a cheap copy of the exact same equipment (racks, bars, weights etc) we would have gotten from elite.
I really hope you have better luck. Hopefully your position (ie Rank) in the group will have some sway. My dad is/was in the CG and he said it was better than USAF politics wise.

Also, elite tends to overestimate delivery times... when I ordered my rack and prowler I got them in half the time they quoted on the website. Just something to think about.

Wait and go with either Elite or Westside. Itll be worth the wait. Plus you know the people that own it are not some hacks sitting in a office somewhere that have never done anything competitive in their life.
