svend????

Let me start by saying I'm a huge fan!!!!! Svend the reason I got into strongman in the first place. I've got viking power spray painted on my gym walls at home, I've seen his training dvd a 10000 times, I base my training around it. I'm bigger and stronger than I've ever been. I got every artical write about him (like I said I'm a super fan) not a stalker. I've even got all the wsm on my tvo. But theres the thing does he not like his fans ,Ive e-mail he many time over the years to buy t-shirts, signed pics. , and whatever else he's selling. I e-mail his wife last week to see if she had any more viking -power gear do you think I heard back ,no not a chance. I know everybody gets busy but come on when someones willing to spend money on something you have and pay to ship it overseas at least return an e-mail. Is it time to find a new hero???? :EP:

Svend's been recovering from a kidney transplant back in February, so I'm sure that has been him and his wife's main focus for the past couple of months.

I got a chance to speak with Svend briefly a couple years ago, and he was very cordial and friendly with my brother and myself and to everyone else we saw him talking with. So I don't know what to tell you.

I had a feeling thats how he is. Yea I've been reading about his surgery and wacthing his recovery on his blog. He sure was orange pre-surgery.

seriously though, as has been said, he and his family are a little pre-occupied with more important things. While your e-mail seems both important and urgent to you now, it really isn't either. Give him some time and understanding.

One other thing, you're new on here and you somewhat bash a former WSM, who happens to be a well-respected member of this very forum? Be respectful of the man, both as an individual and for what he accomplished.

Edit: I went back and read all of your posts. You're not really new, just have a limited number of posts, almost all of which are about Svend. Maybe you're not bashing him as much as I thought, but it just sounded like it.

understandable. I would never bash anyone. Svend is very responable for bringing wsm to the main stream media. I would fly to norway to meet him. I know hes very busy right now and I'm very understanding of that ,I had two coworkers go though the same thing.

Thats a pretty awesome cover. Have you seen the dvd via advanced copy? Or is that the only information you have? I'm sure it'll be awesome if Viking Power is the minimum.

As Brandon pointed out, Svend and Lene have been very busy. I spoke with Lene a month of so ago and Sven about 2 weeks ago and they were both very very busy preparing for Viking Power amongst many other things. Even though he isnt competeing, Svend has a ton more on his plate then most athletes.

I gotta chime in. I met Svend in Anaheim. Even though he was VERY busy helping with the contest and prepping himself for his television announcements he still stopped to greet each and every fan who approached him. He also would stop and reply every time someone would yell "Viking Power!" Very cool SOB.

I agree. I met Svend at WSM '07 and he was very friendly. Awesome guy.

I thought the same thing when I read the post where it appeared he was bashing Svend. The messed up grammar and syntax in that post reminds me of a troll who shows up here occasionally, but the rest of the posts just explain why Svend might think stalker.

Have any of the Ohio, or NW Pennsylvania guys here ever met Don? I only live 100 miles from Ashtabula and I never have.

You're right, I do know Bob. If he vouches for you, I will apologize for doubting you and buy you a beer if we ever meet. However, read your posts objectively, or better yet, have someone else read them and tell you what they think. Your posts do sound stalkerish (probably not a word, but you get the idea). Sometimes what you meant to say and how its taken are worlds apart form one another.
