I've got a question on mixing and matching bumper plates. I'm getting a set of Diamond bumpers pretty soon, but it's only a 230lb. set. I'd eventually like to add at least another pair of 45's and in shopping around for the best price I've noticed that they're all listed at 17.7" in diameter. The Diamonds, however, are listed on the website as 17". Does anyone here have Diamond bumpers and are the measurements just rounded down, or are they that much different than other brands? I don't think having one pair of plates absorbing that much extra shock the 3/4" difference would give them would be a good thing, or would it matter?
