I notice that strongmen competitors and olympic lifters don't use the traditional weight belts you see laying around in most facilities. I never use a belt in my training but thought it might be helpful to get one when going heavier in squats, cleans, deads, etc. I'm very new to incorporating olympic lifts and have a solid base of doing squats and deadlifts. Was just curious is people could express which belts they feel are best for such lifts. I don't wear them for farmers or zercher carries.

i have a relatively expensive ($70?) leather inzer belt that i never use....

and a $15 nylon belt with velcro that i use on all my heavy lifts (deads, squats, etc)

the nylon belt just is more form fitting and i feel more supported and still able to breathe

I have the Spud Inc. 3 ply deadlift belt. I also have a more expensive leather belt that I wear maybe once a week, and my spud belt is worn for everything else. It is the only belt I wear in competition because it is comfortable and easy to adjust. Not to mention, the guys at South Carolina Barbell have been beyond fantastic for customer service. Everyone I train with liked mine so much they purchased their own (including a special order 4x belt).

I have an APT belt. I like it a lot, it's really comfortable, it's the 2nd belt I've had, my first one was stolen so I had to buy a new one and got this one. I don't know if I'll get a new one anytime soon, meaning in the next forever...it's a great belt, I wear it for everything, pressing, squatting, pulling, events, all of it.

Here's the link to the belt I have:
