It seems like every time I go to wal mart someone that barely knows me,approaches me to tell me about this big money making opportunity..."I plan to retire in 2 years.Ill be a millionaire before Im 30" .Have any of you been apporached by these people? If so,do you know what its all about?I actually sat down with a guy that I thought was hooking me up with a supplement sponsorship, but ended up just wanting me to go to a meeting to join this money making group.Im just tired of everyone trying to get me in on this,so Id love to be able to tell them that its all a hoax or something.

I dont know. They never say. They just say they want to meet with me to talk about it.The one time I did,the guy wanted me to go to another meeting with everyone else,to get signed up to be involved with it.One thing that Ive noticed is that they all have their own business cards, with their own company name,as if they run a big business. The one kid told me he would be a millionaire in the next two years....I saw him selling cell phones at the mall last week.
The thing thats gets me is that they all seem to get pretty pushy about it.It seems like every time Ive told them Im not interested they almost get pissed off.I dont know if they really think this is going to turn them into millionaires,or if they are trying to scam me.If they are just trying to scam me,I wont be as nice to them anymore.Thats why Im trying to figure out what its all about.
The time that I did meet with one of the guys he said it had something to do with buying stuff from stores, but on a special website that track what you buy.Something like the more you buy,and the more people you get signed up,the more money you make.

I just do not do multi level marketing. I have done many and have never made it anywhere. So, I have avowed off MLM.
I am especially leary of MLM at this juncture in time when the economy is belly up. Everyone is looking for a solution so home based business' are on fire. Unfortunately, not everyone wins:

If you really want to make money MLM, START ONE! The people that start it make money, everyone else gets ripped off...:disgust:

If it sounds too good to be true then it is and if it sounds like a scam then it is.

There is no such thing as an easy way to make a million dollars, or get rich for that matter.
there are 2 millionaires in my family and neither of them made it there the easy way. Sometimes luck will come into play, but you still have to bust your ass to get there.

I agree.I just want them to leave me alone....It gets old hearing Joe Blow telling me how hes going to retire in two years.I read that they have to reel in a ton of people to start making any $$.Now I see why they are so pushy about it.I think they are a cult lol

Yeah, steer clear of the MLM stuff.
For the 8 or so people I've known who have been involved over the last 20+ years at some point or other, NONE of them managed to do anything other than lose money on their "product investment" or startup fees or some crappy scheme that bilks newbies out of their funds. One guy I knew some time back was so into the Market America stuff he actually moved into their "compound" to get intensive training for many months. Never saw him again after that time, but last I heard he was long out of the program and wishing he had his thousands of dollars back (not to mention the year or two lost to that whole scheme).
If you don't get in on the ground floor, you don't make money. Even then, I've seen people lose big on relatively new MLM programs that come and go within a year. Like Jay said, if you REALLY want to get rich with MLM, start your own and harvest in the suckers who want to get rich quick. Then you'll find it's easy to generate wealth when you're at the top of the chain :D
My problem is, as a business owner, EVERY kook that loves their MLM program comes at me trying to get me to carry their crap. They see dollar signs when they think that I'm going to move tons of product and give them a commission on every sale. Funny that they don't realize, if I were TRULY interested, I'd just sign up myself and make more money than I would going through them. But, that would hinge on finding some sort of MLM product that I thought didn't suck, and I've yet to come across anything like that.

Hahaha, they aren't just in walmarts anymore, they are everywhere. Use that big strongman physique to scare them away.

Wow, I've never seen that. I had a family friend (don't talk to him anymore) that was always chasing his millions and the last I knew he was delivering pizzas and selling life insurance and water purifiers... so, yeah, no thanks.

Fantastic or just avarage job opportunities all have one thing in common-those offering them certainly don`t need to get pushy at walmarts. People knock at their doors not yours. It`s a scam.
