I just got word from Mike Zolkewitz that he set a new WR in the 56lb weight over bar at 18' - 9". I believe it was at the World Team Championships in Canada.

Awesome toss brother!

For the rest of you like me that slipped a gear trying to remember what it meant.

Was only a matter of time, congrats Mike! The record was held by Wout Zilstra, been a while since it's been held by an American.

That is awesome, amazing throw.
I thought I read somewhere where the implement weighed in at 57.1 also.

the weight did weigh in heavy which makes that throw even more incredible! zolk has been flirting with this record all year! i'm sure there is more to come before the season is over. [also was told that after he broke the record someone actually got wout zillstra [former record holder/strongman] on the phone and mike z. got to talk to him. i thought that was really cool! great job mike!!!
