View Full Version : HUGE LW Women Axle record

Among many records that fell today at Western New York's Strongest Man/Woman was the most impressive feat of brute strength I've ever seen from a LW (man or woman). Kelly Picchione opened her axle C+P with a new NAS record of 150 lbs. She went 3 for 3, getting an easy 160 and an easy 170. She tried 180 (as a demo only, since the event was over) and just barely missed the press. Her pressing strength is just amazing.
I'll get a full write-up tomorrow or Monday.

Whistle whistle... if you know me, then you know that I am a huge whistler when great feats of strength have been accomplished! Amazing job here!

That was awesome! The clean was especially efficient - I take a long time to clean close to my max and end up being tired for the press, lol.
You popped that up like Siders did at the Arnold!

She broke her record of 145, set last year. I think Kristyn Vytlacil had the record at 140 prior to that.

Kelly,
That was Awesome!!! Probably the best pound for pound pressing I've ever seen.
Looks like you will be breaking the record again with at least 180lbs. That was so close!!

Thanks again everybody. I have been working really hard on this lift for a while. Just started to learn the split jerk less than a year ago, and love it!
