As the title says I have a question for those of you which have jobs that require you to be physically active. How do u deal with the muscle soreness from a heavy day of squatting or deadlifting? This is a problem i face, as my job requires me to be up and down ladders all day and get into awkward positions.

The worst is the day after doing deadlifts, and i am almost limping and some of my work buddies asking me "u ok man? and i just tell them something like "i just bumped my knee earlier."

How do u guys deal with this problem?

man up and deal with it or get a better job, Think of it as active recovery

I just gut it out. The way I figure it I could either A) Decrease my workload on the weights B) Work slow and not make as much money or C) Push through the day and take an hour after work to sit down and drink water before I lift again. It sometimes keeps me in the gym late, but I pick C. It took a few weeks to get used to it but its normal now so that when I have a day off of work and training, I don't know what to do with myself.

I seem to have the same problem here. My job involves me stacking 100 lb seed bags all day, they come off a conveyor about six and a half feet off the groung, and land on my shoulder, so i am on my feet for 7 hours a day. Its painfull to say the least but no pain no gain lol.

I use to just hobble around, then I started 2 things. 1- Doing whatever (squat, dead, etc..) exercise twice a week. And 2- BCAA's. I started taking some BCAA's of which I'm told are of higher quality and the DOMS disappeared.

Now, it's not real bad but it may just be me.
