An aging warrior scared and hardened with twenty plus years of battle, sits watching the young warriors as they pump themselves up thumping their chest and yelling before each battle of Stone and Iron. He smiles to himself, laughing slightly. Now it is his turn, he walks silently to the platform to do battle with his old foe. But before he gets there he turns to the young Warriors the Little Pups, it is at that point that they see the fire in his eyes a fire that has been in him long before the Pups were out of diapers, a cold shiver runs down their spines as they realize his fire is always there and will never be quenched never be satisfied and will go on long after the pups are gone.

Never let the Fire Die

My contribution-

Old bull and a young bull are sitting on top of a hill staring down at a bunch of cows. The young bull turns to the old bull and says, "Hey old bull, let's run on down there and **** one of those cows!" to which the old bull responds,"Lets walk down there and **** 'em all".

Ha ha I like that. I'm 34 and have got 4 guys who come and train with me during the week who are ages between 21 and 23. They have been kinda under my wing so to speak for 10 years through various church youth groups.I have always been telling them they should come and join me in working out, for the last 5 months they have and I'm proud to say they are much stronger than before. I'm no expert in all things in regards to lifting but what ever i know I am happy to pass on to them.

This thread would not be complete without the Squat Poem

THE SQUAT
Down this road, in a gym far away,
a young man was heard to say,
"no matter what i do, my legs won't grow"
he tried leg extensions, leg curls, and leg presses , too
trying to cheat, these sissy workouts he'd do.
from the corner of the gym where the big men train,
through a cloud of chalk and the midst of pain
where the noise is made with big forty fives,
a deep voice bellowed as he wrapped his knees.
a very big man with legs like trees.
laughing as he snatched another plate from the stack
chalking his hands and monstrous back,
said, "boy, stop lying and don't say you've forgotten,
the trouble with you is you ain't been SQUATTIN'. "
