Well, it's the first major contest after WSM, and the line up seems pretty good. Anybody hear any word about the events they are going to be doing?
Gotta say.. even without knowing the events, Savickas gotta be a favourite after his proformance at WSM.. can't see him losing anything. Terry's my vote for second, but the event being in London he pull out a big proformance and bump Savickas out of first.
Heres the athlete list for those that don't know
Zydrunas Savickas
Terry Hollands
Mark Felix
Andrus Muramets
Jimmy Laureys
Martin Wildauer
Jarek Dymek
Golier Branislav
Kostiantyn Ilin
Agris Kazelniks
Simon Sulaiman
Juan Carlos
Heres the website for the event: http://www.strongmancllondon.co.uk/

Watch out for Jimmy Laureys for the top5, these events are pretty good for him. :)

If it confirms that Mark Felix was the runner-up that has to be great news.
Not easy to top Terry Hollands and Andrus Murumets in such a contest.
This man -Felix - is incredible. At almost 44 ( if not over ) he is a phenom. And a crowd pleaser. And certainly a lovable human being.
You have mark Felix in your starting field and you may rest assured that you will get your money's worth.
He deserve great respect. And huge congrats.

Thankyou Paul, Felix really appreciates your kind words.
It was a great competition, tough field, and I guess the events were in his favor on home turf.
We dont have a full run down, but I can say although Felix didnt win the deadlift he won the stones.
Im sure Ironmind will have results soon.

Cranked up!
In the farmers video wa have absolutely NO NEWS about the other guy!
Only Savickas and the Lithuanian public are filmed!
Terry was probably injured I guess. That place, behind Kazelniks and Dymek and way below his capabilities.

I heard the crowd was very disrespectful to most of the athletes...
Calling names and all kind of BS.. Little bit disappointing i gues..

there were alot of lithuanian fans there and they boo'ed jarek dymek and the british athletes. it was a shame as otherwise the atmosphere was good.

there were lots of british fans fans there supporting all the athletes (particularly mark, terry and Z of course) but id guess a quarter of the crowd was lithuanian and very vocal. jarek got the worst of the booing and looked pretty pissed off about it.

That would be a drawback to getting more spectators, they don't necessarily share the same "sportsmanship" and values that we as athletes hold as one the best things about our chosen sport.
But of course, if they're cheering you on...
I am sure Savickas would rather they didn't boo the other guys though.
