Height Exaggerations

Most Strongmen like to exaggerate their heights for publicity reasons. They even stated that Pudz stands 6'1", even though, he is closer to 5'10". No one, please, try and say he is 6'1", because I have seen him at a comp and he looked around 2" shorter than my 6'0" friend when Pudz was doing photo shoots with various people. There is a Video of 6'1" Steve Kirit posing next to Pudz, and from that, Pudz looked alot shorter then Kirit does.

I do remember a former strongman stating that Magnuss's real height was only around the 6'4.5" region. I have a cousin who was measured 200 cm, barefeet, to the top of his sculp and he had a good couple of inches on Kane at the WWE convention. Kane was always stated to of stood 6'9", even though, he would of been measured closer to 6'5".

I think height is and always has been exaggerated greatly. my exact height without shoes is 6'1.5, in shoes close to 6'3. Mariusz probably is a true 5'11, probably is close to 6'1 in shoes..... but don't let his height fool you, he has very long arms and a shorter torso, making him very well built for the strongman disciplines.

actually he his about 6'1...i'm 6'1 and standing next to him we are about the same height. in no way am i trying to start a internet brawl...thats just my two cents

You don't have to work on being tall... it is given to you. Muscular size and strength takes a lot of hard work and effort.

I'm 5'11" but if the urge strikes me, and I am wearing a pair of shoes, I very well may say 6' lol.....really it doesn't matter....heights are exaggerated in the sports media world, but who cares?? An NFL linebacker who is listed at "6-1" but really is 5' 10.5" is in the NFL for a million reasons, the fact that people reading a media guide are led to believe he is 3" taller than he actually is, certainly isn't one of them......Same thing for Mariusz, Like Steve pointed out, he has ideal leverages, it doesn't matter if he is 5'10 or 6' or 5'11 3/4..... 6'1 sounds better than 5'11 7/8 or whatever the hell he probably actually is barefoot.

I'll tell you though, you have to feel for the guys whose heights aren't exagerrated, lol....some guys really are 5'11 and when listed at 5'11 imagine the people who think they're 5'8???

None of it matters, man, there are much more important things that mean so much more....like taking control of things that you have control over. Like getting stronger and maximizing your potential.

I say we all go to the local police station and stand in front of the wall where they have the rulers and have mug shots taken, and we can use them as our avitars....and NO cheating, you have to be barefoot, nobody standing on their toes or wearing lifts in their shoes either, lol.

just like me everyone lies about his height. we all know that the most important aspect of a strongman competitor is his height. after all, being taller than everyone else is such a huge benefit to a strongman competitor, on all but one event (stones). can you guys imagine if Manute Bol or Dikembe Mutombo decided to try strongman? we might as well all stop lifting and just quit before we embarrass ourselves. those guys would make us look silly.

Haven't you seen the video of Kirit and Mariusz posing together? Kirit himself only claims to be 6'1" at his smallest, yet Mariusz was more then an inch shorter then Kirit.

Height is strange, it varies from day to day...I'm around 5 11" but have been known to be over 6ft when fully fit and training regularly...I'd say Marius is bang on the 6ft mark.

Still, it's what you do with what you got that counts...

Had no idea my height measurements down to the half inch would evoke such emotion! I say I am not 6'2 cause Im not, Im 6'1.5 I can get away with 6'2 yes. All this height stuff is fun but of course, not really important, but Mariusz is truly around 5'11, if you choose not to believe this, thats quite fine, Ive competed with the guy about 10 times. In a nice pair of shoes, he is definitely 6'0 maybe more, just like I am close to 6'3!

Magnus is really 6'6 or damn close, that guy is really tall. A true 6'6 is towering.

People always get heights and bodyweights wrong! - WSM 05 Terry Hollands was 6`3 on screen But I know for a fact that Terry is about 6`6-7 tall!

He fights in PRIDE now standing an actual (?) 7'2 and weights 385 (massive weight exageration !) with a record of 1-5-0. Funny that the 1 guy is beat is one of the 2 guys that Zulu beat before getting slapped around for 26 seconds by Fedor.

paul wight (not white) is not 7'4 or 2, he is 7'1, his weights ranged from 440 - 565 throughout his career, he was at his biggest when bill goldberg jack hammered him in wcw (560+) - bill said this himself in an interview

I watched the Fedor / Zulu fight. Fedor made him look like a little girl. When I saw Zulu standing over fedor after they'd touched gloves and fedor just stood there for 10 seconds I didn't know what would happen, but then Zulu was just plain beaten.
