I have been travling in Pittsburgh for work going on a few months now and I have not been able to find a decent place to train. I know there are plenty of places I just have not had the opportunity to find them. Colud someone possibly recomend a place (directions included) to "get after it". I normally stay in the Monroeville area (good hooters in m-ville) but I can stay where ever is closest to a good gym. Thanks,
Jake

I believe Pro strongmen Steve Kirit and Steve Macdonald train at Platinum Fitness (http://www.platinumfitnesscenter.com/) in Greentree.
Thanks.
EDIT: I just realized Steve Kirit posts on this forum, so maybe he can let you know where he trains.

I work and train at Bodytech right off of Route 19 in Ross Township. It's a short drive from the city, you just take 279-N up to the McKnight Road exit, follow McKnight a few miles, take a left onto Three Degree, then a right onto 19 and we're in Pines Plaza, right behind the Foodland. It used to be a Gold's Gym, so we have two power racks, plenty of free weights and dumbbells, a reverse hyper bench, lots of good stuff.
I also currently have a 2" thickbar, a 10" steel log, and some grip stuff at my place plus some farmer's implements and a sled coming from Lance. Should be making a stone too, though if you've done a lot of stone work probably too light for you (we're looking at ~220). You're free to come train with us, we aren't moving crazy weights but you're more than welcome to
