hi all, wannabe uk strongman signing in!

hi guys and girls,
got to say this has to be the best strongman devoted site ever. plus one of the funniest too.
but anyway bout me, im mat weir, im 22yo from portsmouth, u.k. ive been into my strongman training since last summer (came from bodybuilding :BB: ) and now got to say im strongman in the heart.
since just before christmas me and a group of other local strongmen opened up our own gym. purley for strongman. soon i will post up some pics of the gym cos im so proud of it.
there are some other guys on this site who i know like will newland (mental bloke and one of the funniest ive met) , dale norris (great bloke and one of the strongest in the world with out a doubt) and andy lidbury (one of the countrys best 105kg competitors.)

last of all i got to say mucho respecto to jesse and kevin nee. u guys are the future. and big BIG respect to dan harrison..... ur one funny messed up bloke lol.

Hi, joined the board myself the other day but have just been lurking so far, I've been too shy to post, normaly I can talk for England (Ireland Scotland and Wales! ;P ) but I didn't know Jesse himself came on and posted! *swoon* Hee, sorry, being a complete girl.
I saw your post though Mat and thought I'd give you a shout, would you belive I've just moved back to Southampton from Portsmouth after 12 years?! It always kicks off after I leave damn it. ;)

just for u that dont know portsmouth and southampton are at the southcoast of the uk and about 20 miles away from each other.

I know, you travel thousands of miles to the USA via your I's and O's and bump into people from your own back yard! Cool though eh? I never knew Hampshire was such a hot pot for strongmen, you learn something new everyday. :) Much better than being known for Craig David anyway...*naughty titter* (All the Americans say, "Who's Craig David?!" :D )
