I bought the eagle loops from ironmind, and they are awesome! They cut my pullups in half though. Normally I can get about 15 strong pulls and 5 more if I cheat, but I was seriously struggling to get 8. My back and my forearms are really sore from using them. Next week I'll use them in my dip/pullup superset I do at the end of my workout, should be fun.

I'm going to try them in a bunch of other lifts. Do you think you can curl or deadlift with them?

I don't fully understand how the eagle loops work. Do you put your fingers in them and pull? thats what the small pic on iron mind looks like. I can't see how it would help back strength. So you guys who use them would recomend them for hand strength?

I have them and use them for pull ups mainly. My assumption is that you only put your finger tips in the loops. If I slip my fingers in more than that, its just about as easy for me as just holding onto a regular bar

Adam, deadlifts are a little too heavy, so I would do stiff leg deads on a tall box so you can still get your full range of motion.

Good idea. I'm going to be doing light deads for a while now anyways so I'll try the higher box next time with the loops. I had been doing deads without a belt for a while to try to get more back strength for the stones. It worked, I pulled 635 and almost 650 without a belt, but I got carried away with it and my back felt overworked and then I strained it doing the stones up at Walt's place. Didn't really feel too bad till the next day though.
