Signed up the other day. Just become a recent fan of Marunde after the 2005 WSM. Was amazed at how fast he went through the fingal fingers. I'm 28 and have been a fan of the strongman sport for since 1999 or so. I've a lot of the pros during the Classic in columbus, which is easy since I live there. I even partied with some of them during the first Classic, the one Zavickas didn't win. Might like to get into strongman events someday but since I am only 5'9" and 200lbs. I will need to compete in the smaller class. Right now for workouts I walk a mile with the 84lb xvest while tossing around a 10lb medicine ball (20 lber is in the mail) and run up and down the stairs 10 times. I only do front squats, also decline and incline bench, deads, clean and press, clean and press adn front squat all in one rep, and then the other touch up stuff.
I don't appreciate what the IFSA is trying to do to the sport. But the 2005 WSM would've looked a lot different if the IFSA would not have hogged all their talent. I think 2005 breathed new air into the great WSm contest and we fans are all better off for that. It was awesome to see Kevin Nee competing, I'd seen him only previously on the MTV show. I've got some opinions and insight and I hope you all don't mind me sharing some of them with you here in this forum.

Nonsense, Everyone at the board always appreciates new members, we must have just had one huge brain fart or something :BB:

Seirously though, welcome to the forum, I hope you will find us a little more inviting than this little thread has shown, well all but Dan, he might try and eat you children or go be-heading in your neighborhood or something crazy like that. I am envious of the fact that you live so close to where the arnold is held, I bet thats alot more exiting than just hearing the results like me :)

Thanks for the words. Yeah I was actually right in the front row and in line with the Kettle Ball throw into the crowd that Pudzianowski threw. I was worried that it would happen but luckily since the thing weighed so much it didn't move to fast. It kind of hit the stage floor then bounced into the audience right where I was sitting. I just moved to the right real quick. I feel bad because I feel like he might've lost his concentration because of my cheering for him. Something happened though because he kind of winced when the weight was parallel with the ground and that's when he lost the grip. He might 've hurt his back at that point in time, I don't know but definitely something caused him to lose his concentration, hopefully it wasn't me yelling his name... :o
