I got sick saturday morning, I did not think it would develop into anything much so like an idiot I decided to try to work it out of myself. So I trained with a more than medium amount of intensity using heavy weight and actually hit a few PR's. About a half hour after I was done it started to really set in, I felt like I have been hit by a car. By Sunday night my temperature was 102.9 degrees and I felt terrible. My temperature stayed around there and even peaked yesterday at 103.9 degrees. I went to the doctor and got antibiotics. My chest was really contgested but is starting to clear up and my head is clearing up as well. The only thing now is that my throat really hurts and earlier today I even coughed up some blood along with the greenish colored stuff I have been coughing up since saturday. Has anything like this ever happened to any of you guys and what do you recommend I do about it now. I am worried it may cause me to loose some of muscle although my weight has stayed the same so far, what do you guys think.

Sorry to hear that you are sick, being sick always drives me nuts. I got that sick at the end of college, too much studying followed by too much partying with out any sleep. The Dr. gave my codine cough medicine and told me to go home and take it with Nyquil, wow I was higher than a kite, but didn't feel anything. My advise is to get as much rest as possible and eat even when you don't feel like it. Your body needs food and rest to heal and the antibiotics should take care of the rest.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate your support. I feel a lot better today but am still coughing up lots of stuff and now I am also blowing it out my nose. I feel a little better every time I do it though, getting that stuff out lets me know my body is doing its job, thanks again guys.

Much better today, finally. I will be back to 100% within the next few days I hope, then it is time to pick up where I left off with training.

ah good to hear james. did u lose any weight or anything?

Yes I lost some weight, but strangely enough it appears to be all fat that I lost. When I look at myself in the mirror now I have better definintion and I appear to have not lost any muscle mass. Oh I am more vascular too, I have no idea how this could happen but it did and I am very happy with the results, now I just gotta continue to eat clean, take my supplements, and train my ass off.
By the way is this a strange reaction to have from being real sick?
