Mariusz Pudzianowski is taking the final steps of his Thousand Mile WSM Legend journey. Bill Kazmaier won three WSM titles and definitely set himself up as a great competitor at the time. However, a competition has to go on for years before any one competitor realizes a legendary status. This is why Zydrunas Savickas will not be known as a legend for the Arnold until years after he retires. His record must be put to the test of time. Jon Pall Sigmarsson set another milestone at the WSM by winning four titles, however not three in a row like Kazmaier. More time would be needed to determine what a WSM legend would be. Along comes Magnus ver Magnusson. He managed to win four just like Jon Pall and three in a row like Kazmier. Ever since no one has managed to do either again. These records have stood the test of time. Therefore to become a WSM legend, one must match any of these records. Mariusz has won three, but not in a row. So he is a great competitor for the current time, but no legend. This is the year that this can all change. Mariusz knows this, and any true competitor knows this. Mariusz is a warrior who wants to prove that he is worthy of sitting next to the spirits of Kazmier, Jon Pall, and Magnus.
My video portrays Mariusz walking these final steps on the day of competition, with the haunting spirits of the WSM legends taunting him, inspiring him, challenging him.
This video tries to portray what Mariusz will be thinking and feeling during the final steps of his Thousand Mile WSM Legend journey.
Paying respect, to all the great ones… the World’s Strongest Men.
Good luck Mariusz, we all love our American strongmen, and surely they and the others will give you your hardest battle yet. But if you are truly deserving of a legendary status you will succeed and will forever have nothing but respect. It’s not too often that one gets to see another become a legend. I wasn’t old enough to watch the others, but I’m definitely watching this one.
Let’s bring on the WSM 2006!
I will be posting a more polished version of the video soon... there is some stuff that I purposefully kept out of the first one…thanks for watching. By the way, now you can enjoy the Theme and Metallica songs in an entirely different way then before.
Here is the link to the old version again, so you can enjoy watching it with this new knowledge. Enjoy!
