Dude, here is another one...I remember meeting you and you and Jack the Ripper slept in the back of your Ford Truck the night before!!

I wish had a picture of St Clair puking up his Biscuits & Gravy after that Truck Pull!

Remember that Crane we had to pull?? What the hell was that about? I think I only pulled it 3 feet, and Randy Davis won it with almost 10 feet total distance, or something like that.

Jesse, how old were you in your first contest (strongman)? I assume you had competed in some format before that (powerlifting and/or olympic lifting)?

The guy with the hat (Randy) was one of my training partners back in the day. The bald dude (Beard) still competes in Western Canada through the World Cup org. I still remember Randy telling me abou this "kid" who was gonna be awesome some day......small world huh ;)

Geoff,

Didn't Beerd get some staph infection in his knee a while back? I used to email those guys after that contest, but have lost touch.

I saw he competed in that World Strongman Cup online....man, my wife and I got pretty drunk with those boys after that Montana show! There was this Hawaiian kid we met there, who was a football player for the Grizzlies, and he took us to all the local bars. I swear, we only paid for maybe 2 drinks the whole night because the bars hooked us up with freebies. That town definitely loves their football team, and we reaped the benefits hanging out with him!

Ya, Beerd got a bad staph infection in his shoulder - it collapsed one of his lungs too. Had his wife not been a registered nurse he might not be here. He recovered though, and him and I battled it out a few years at Western Canadians. Last year he had more set backs with torn calf (spring) and torn biceps (fall) - but if anyone could bounce back it would be him ;) Randy on the otherhand has been retired pretty much since shortly after that Montanna contest - no injury - no reason
