I just mixed in some protein powder with a box of instant pudding and it was delicious. A nice little treat anyways. anyone else done this before?

never done it, but it sounds good. Sylvester Stallone's supplement line does sell protein pudding, but you probably would have to pay an arm and a leg to get it.

The Met-Rx band MRP mixes up into a good pudding. Just dump a package in a bowl and add water slowly while stiring with a spoon. The choco-peanut butter and plain choco are good.

Beverly International Ultra Size can be made into pudding. 3-4 scoops powder + 1/4 cup heavy cream + water to desired consistency. Awesome stuff !

what kind of pro. do you add to coffee? I love coffee and if I could get some more nutritional value out of it I would be very happy.

wouldn't the heat of the coffee denature the protein?

I add Muscle Milk from Cytoplex[COLOR=Green].. There is a flavor called Mocha Joe, it even has caffine...If you have never tried it, you are missing out!! Best tasting stuff there is on the market!! You'll never go back to regular pro powder!! It even has MCT oil in the blend (good fat) There are like 110 flavors and they all rock!!!
As far as denaturing the protein from heat, I dont think my coffee is hot enough and it tastes so darn good that I drink it fairly quickly...

If the coffee is boiling hot - it will denature a small percentage of the protein, but average hot coffee shouldn't do it. Now if you take your coffee with protein already mixed and microwave it on high for a several minutes - then you will start to have some problems (which you will be able to tell - denatured proteins will often have some off flavors - normally your sulfur containing aminos will be freed up - and those are not very tasty - tastes like burning hair smells). Denaturing takes a low pH, very high temp, or some type of salt.
