hey gang.. just thought i would share a quick story.. I worked up to 225 X 3 in the barbell clean and press (jerk) and felt good so I went to 250 lbs..new territory.. gripped it and wham.. up it went.. April 23rd in Pt Townsend.. I am going to hit a 280 log... :)

nice progress!!! I suggest next week you back off and hit 3 sets of 2 with 220, then 3x2 with 230 the following week, then 3x1 with 240. then go for 255.
are you doing any snatches? what about clean or snatch pulls? front squats?

Jesse.. thanks for the advice.. maybe next time i make it to the playground we can do snatches.. i think i do them incorrectly.. as far as front squats.. I have just started but i alternate them with zetchers...i thnik i will do a bit more front squating..

I bet your front squats and power cleans will take a big jump if/when you get olympic lifting shoes.
check out safe-usa.com where I just got my new ones.
shoes make all the difference.

the polish ones. but he's all out now. what are the chances the only size he'd have were mine?
I'd go with cheap ones, their just as good IMO.
